In the European window, (url: cnbc.com/world/?region=world), the headline for CNBC’s daily market summary says:
“European markets fall as U.S. coronavirus cases surge”
Makes sense. That would be the natural reaction that you would expect to see from news of surging cases of coronavirus..
Now here’s where things start getting unusual — almost Orwellian.
Pictured below is CNBC’s United States news window.
“Stock futures rise as coronavirus cases continue to climb”???
It’s almost the exact same headline. The only difference is that one says up, and the other one says down!!
